Eternity Sales has focused its efforts on the growing demand for machine connectivity and manufacturing intelligence, whereby addressing the need for the transmission of data generated at the machine on the factory floor to various destinations within the company. Kepware Technologies provides an important piece of the puzzle that will accomplish this objective. Their KEPserverEX product offers machine connectivity to some of the industry leaders.
The following OPC Server drivers are a plug-in device driver for KEPServerEX. A "Plug-in" is a software program (.dll) that extends the capabilities of KEPServerEX to fit the communication requirements of a specific device or system. The plug-in driver handles all of the proprietary communications between the device/system and the OPC layer, KEPServerEX. The KEPServerEX core then handles all OPC and Proprietary Client communications between the plug-in driver and the Client application. GE Intelligent Platforms (GE Fanuc) Focas Suite device
drivers work in conjunction with our OPC Server KEPServerEX, to provide data exchange
between OPC Clients and GE Focas CNCs. The GE Focas OPC
Server also supports the unsolicited communications mode
of the Fast Ethernet card. KEPServerEX automatically
optimizes your data acquisition based on client demand.
Data integrity is ensured with our extensive error
handling. Note: This driver uses and requires either the Focas 1 or the Focas 2 interface libraries available from GE Intelligent Platforms (GE Fanuc) for full online operation. The driver allows development of application without the library. The GE Focas 1 OPC Driver is also included in the Manufacturing Suite. |

MTConnect Client Driver for KEPServerEX is a
communications interface to MTConnect-compliant agent
applications. KEPServerEX’s extensive library of
communication protocols and client interfaces makes
MTConnect data available to users. MTConnect is an Open
standard for linking shop floor technologies that
furthers the automation industry’s goal of seamless
manufacturing operation. KEPServerEX is designed to
accommodate organizations’ evolving communication
demands. The MTConnect Standard XML and Internet Protocol
technologies provide managers with the factory’s
real-time data. This provides users the opportunity to
develop more efficient operations with improved
production optimization and increased productivity. The MTConnect OPC Driver is also included in the Manufacturing Suite. The MTConnect OPC Driver will be available with the release of KEPserverEX 5.6 in July. |
